Celadon

24 x 36 in    Oil and Cold Wax on panel

Shown with Cinnabar (diptych)

Celadon is an abstract painting defined by a strong horizontal division and a restrained, textured surface. A softly layered field of celadon green rests above a deeper band of red, creating a quiet tension between cool and warm tones.

Built with oil and cold wax, the surface reveals subtle shifts, scraped marks, and traces of earlier layers beneath. The composition invites slow viewing, where texture and colour carry the work rather than overt gesture.

Celadon is one half of a diptych with Cinnabar, the two paintings designed to be shown together or individually, each offering a distinct yet related presence.
