Past Lives is an abstract painting shaped by accumulation, revision, and the quiet presence of what remains. Layers of oil and cold wax are built up, scraped back, and reworked, allowing traces of earlier colour and gesture to surface throughout the composition.

Muted turquoise, soft neutrals, and subtle shifts in tone create a sense of depth and movement without a fixed focal point. Marks, abrasions, and partially veiled passages suggest memory and passage of time, inviting slow viewing and reflection. Past Lives is less about narrative and more about presence—what lingers beneath the surface.
